Top 5 Games of 2013!

#1 The Last Of Us

Naughty Dog are well known for their impressive graphics, but they've really outdone themselves with The Last Of Us, as it is truly the best looking game I have ever seen and could easily be next-gen. The story, the game play and the voice acting are all sublime and amazingly unique. Not just my favourite game of 2013, perhaps my favourite game of all time (besides Fallout 3).

2# Grand Theft Auto V

We all expected GTA V to be great, and it was. Personally, I preferred online mode rather than story mode as some of the cut scenes were a bit daft and Trevor's 'craziness' was a little overstated. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this game because of the amount of sheer content, beautiful graphics, and fine attention to detail.

3# Bioshock Infinite

The Bioshock franchise has always been one of my favourite franchises, and this one definitely matches it's predecessors. The trailer, released about 3 or 4 years ago, showed a interesting but slightly pants looking game with some bad character design. However, they did the right thing and kept working at it until they had a solid game. I don't want to spoil anything so all I'll say is that the story's twists and turns will leave your mind bamboozled - in a good way.

4# Tomb Raider

This refreshing reboot to the highly popular gaming franchise shows the transformation of Lara, from girl to hardened killer. It is a beautiful looking game with interesting game play mechanics and a emotional narrative which allows for a really intense experience. Some elements brought back nostalgia of playing 'Angel of Darkness' when I was a kid, but the experience was mostly fresh.

5# Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Far cry 3 came out in 2013, and it was an absolutely brilliant game. Blood Dragon was an excellent extension to the game as it brought all the fun of 1980s/90s futuristic action movies into the gaming world. The vibrant neon land filled with laser shooting dragons was just pure fun that didn't require an emotional narrative to support it.
